Outback Steak
Written by Oridusartic on a good Wednesday
Last time while visiting the mall to fix my cousin’s Nintendo DS, my uncle took us for a lunch at a steak house named Outback. The place looks very western with dark atmosphere, yellowish light, and as we stepped inside the restaurant I could see quite many foreigners in there. There’s also a bar in the restaurant, however I didn’t smell any cigarette’s smoke so it’s a relief.
The waitress quickly noticed our coming, let us sit and gave us some menu to be browsed. The food are so expensive! Especially on the beef section, one top quality of striploin might cost around IDR 300,000. So I skipped that page and went for chicken instead.

A few minutes after ordering our menu, they served this bread & butter on our table for free! With my hidden ability and a handy samurai. Faster than the wind, I’ve chopped that powerless fella into two parts. Fuh!

My cousin and my uncle ordered two bowls of mushroom cream soup. It smells so yummy, but I didn’t taste it since cream soup and my stomach are enemies for eternity.

Next, here comes our choice of healthy snacks to neutralize the cholesterol in blood. Cheesy french fries, topped with ham and cheese, baked in the oven till the cheese melts. Though it looks really tempting, actually the taste is quite plain.

My uncle’s order is dice-cut blackpepper steak, served on a sizzling hot plate. Gees the beef looks quite delicious.

This is what I ordered, a barbecued chicken steak, covered with mushrooms, hams, and melted cheese. Now that I look at it, I feel that it must be really delicious, but at that time I was too stuffed and couldn’t really enjoy this menu. I couldn’t even touch the french fries.. (T_T)
I should have discouraged my cousin from ordering that cheesy fries menu for the appetizer. Darn! Speaking of my cousin, here’s what she ordered.
Overall the food were all right, the portion is nastily big, but I just still don’t feel comfortable with the price. Haha! Even a glass of coke costs quite expensive, thankfully the soda and some basic drinks like tea or lemon tea are bottomless, so make sure to drink as much as we can.

Gw mah ngiler Coleslaw nya =)) Itu BBQ Chicken steak nya jg tuh! Dilumurin gitu =p~
Btw, pke kamera hape ya cit?
I love your food pictures, they always make me so hungry! Everything looks delicious :D
We have Outback in the US as well, and I LOVE their bread and butter, I always get full off of that and then I can never finish my actual meal.
Good grief, I am almost salivating.
I have only been to Outback Steakhouse about three or four times ever and my main complaint is definitely the price. I have a tendency to be quite extravagant in terms of food, even more than clothing, but I have to say the prices at the place pushes it a little bit, and I don’t find it to be the best steak in the city.
But of course, that has nothing to do with the fact that the photos look so mouth-watering. Perhaps I’m hungry.
By the way, this site overhaul looks great. I love the refreshing of your blog encourages your motivation to blog regularly. =)
