Jung Yong Hwa as Lee Shin, rocks!

Caught up in watching this Korean drama titled Heartstrings, starring Jung Yong Hwa (the vocalist/guitarist of CN Blue) as Lee Shin and Park Shin Hye as Lee Kyu Won. In this drama, both characters are university students who study music. Lee Shin majors in modern music, while Kyu Won majors in traditional Korean music.

Since it’s a drama the story is of course more about their love story. Lee Shin is a typical main male character in any other Korean dramas, he is arrogant, handsome, too cool to be true, silent, but in the end he falls in love with the main female character – Kyu Won – who is innocent, full of energy, sweet, but a bit clumsy.

The main casts of Heartstrings (in their tight pants?)

I haven’t finished watching all the episodes, but I can predict how this drama will end. Anyway, the thing that I like the most in this drama is the music! There are some really nice songs with beautiful lyrics that keeps me off the ground.

For example this one: Star by CN Blue’s Kang Min Hyuk.

And then there’s also this one: Because I Miss You by CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa (with English translation lyrics).

Whoohoo Yong Hwa is awesome! Well that’s it. I pretty recommend this drama, so far (up till episode 9) the story line is still quite nice and addictive. We’ll see how it turns out when I get the rest of the 15 episodes.

Woot! Finally spotted another K-drama fangirl. I watched this drama a few months ago too, it was pretty entertaining despite the tacky ending which was kind of pointless to me. But maybe because I’m not a big fan of this kind of teenage drama. Anyways, Yonghwa portrayed Lee Shin pretty well, though his acting isn’t that great, he’s got that cold badass flower boy vibe <3

Got something to say? Go for it!
