May We Get Soaked With Blessings

As the bunny year is hopping away and as my neighbors start shooting their festive firecrackers and fireworks to the night sky. Finally we celebrate New Year once again, people. It’s the year of the water dragon, hope we’re all soaked with abundance of blessings! And so I would like to say Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fat Choi! (translation: hope you get Fat!)

Talking about good fortune in life, do you know that ‘good’ in Chinese life is usually considered in three?

First, yes, good fortune. Imagine, we bump into lucky events, we get lots of money, surrounded by our loved ones, we found lots of opportunities everyday in our life. Raise your hand if you’re stupid enough to not want it.

Greedy people’s ultimate wish, the prosperity! The fortunes that you’ve got before are accumulated more and more and more till you don’t know the amount anymore. Abundant delicious food are always served on your table, a nice house to go home, awesome cars to ride, a brand new released iPhone4s to dial to.. (T-T)

*Yes, people. Finally the long-awaiting iPhone4S will be released in Indonesia this 27th January!* Now whose piggy bank should I break?

Back to the topic. The last one is the longevity or a long life to live and enjoy your prosperity till you grow old happy and content! How awesome is that?! I hope you and especially me, can achieve all those three. Fufufufu~

However this Chinese New Year celebration is a bit dull.

The elders said that I shouldn’t get angpao this year since I have worked and earned my own money. I complained to them, since I haven’t got married or lived on my own, I should have still received angpao like any other previous years but they wouldn’t budge.
