Baby You’re A Firewoooork!

As every other previous New Year’s Eves. I climbed up to the third floor of my uncle’s house to watch the fireworks. This year I also did the same thing.

Took my DSLR camera, took my gimpy-legged tripod.
To the 3rd floor!!

The camera settings:
01. Use manual mode.
02. Set the aperture to F 5.6 or F11.
03. Set the shutter speed to BULB.

At 00:00 the neighborhood was going crazy with lighting fireworks into the dark sky. And so I took a few shots..

Not Even 5 Things I Did in 2011

Originally I would like to title this post as 11 Things I Did in 2011, but after listing the events, it turned out there were not even 5 great things that I did in 2011.

Where did I waste my time to? (-_-)

Here are a few things that I’ve done in 2011:

01. Bought A Wide Lens.

A Tamron 10-24mm. My first non-default zoom lens. My most expensive lens I ever purchased!
Heavy lens but perfik for shooting landscape or architectural objects. :D

02. Flew To Seoul!

This is awesomeness! I did fly to Korea and spent a holiday there for a week! xD
I haven’t written about the trip completely but I promise to write them asap.

03. Bought An Android Tablet.

Hohoho my new gadget baby. Very slim, handy and sophisticated.
Will write it on a review soon. xD

04. Finishing More Than 15 Freelance Projects.

Ow yes! I’m so lucky, I have met great clients in 2011.
The sleepless nights, the struggling and the happiness in working cool projects.
Those lacks of sleep are paid off! I gladly welcome more old or new clients in 2012. xD

For New Year’s resolutions. Ehm, getting an iPhone! Twit less. Switching to Micro Four-third camera. Traveling somewhere abroad. Face-lifting this blog a little bit. Re-organizing my design portfolio and resurrecting my portfolio website. Yes, that’s all for now.

Chit-chatters Chit Chat Time at The Chatterbox

So smart people, how many ‘chat’ do you see on the title above? No need to answer, just read this last post in 2011 before the year turns to 2012. Yes, so last time I gathered with my good friends for Christmas dinner and gift exchange @ Chatterbox. We tagged like 12 people on Facebook but only 6 showed up. Seems like the others were too busy with their works, plans, or God-knows-what they’re busy with. (-_- )

Before dinner time, five of us went to watch Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows first at the movie. Nice one, I like it as much as its first movie. I like Robert Downey, Jr in that movie too. :D Good popcorn, good friends, good movie, life’s good!

The restaurant is pretty nice. It serves various kinds of delicious food from Western to Asian. Even all my friends and I got confused in deciding our own meals, so we ordered some appetizers first.

While waiting for the main menu to be served. I and my 3 friends went out to see the giant Christmas tree that was set at the park outside. The sparkling Christmas lights, Michael Buble’s Christmas album that was constantly played from the loudspeakers, they made the atmosphere very Christmas!

No Place For The Cockroach

Yo how’s your Christmas folks? Me, I spent the Christmas night out of town at my cousin’s house with my parents, aunties, uncles, and cousins. So many interesting stories from this family gathering that I want to tell, but I will start from this little incident about cockroach. It happened at night before the bed time.
