Hung out with my college friends for a lunch at Bakerzin last time. Hoho I’ve been curious to try their macaroons/macarons so I was so waiting to eat there. If you like pasta, steak and other western food, you might want to visit this restaurant.

I’m hungry, let’s just jump to the food part!

So many delicious dishes on the menu that I wanted to try! There were also some special menu for Christmas that looked really interesting, but since it was my first visit so I decided to try their specialty menu first. Overall, we ordered quite a complete set of some appetizers, main dishes and desserts.

Potato wedges with some slices of smoked beef for appetizer – IDR32,500.

Baked potato soup, second appetizer – IDR30,000.

Fried potato wedges with tartar sauce (or is that a mayonnaise?) dip make such a good appetizer, but the baked potato soup isn’t my favorite. In fact my friends didn’t really like it too. We should have ordered the mushroom soup!

This non-refillable iced lemon tea costs IDR25,000. *gasp!*

The first menu to arrive was my friend Gillo’s order, Piccata Linguini with fried dory fish – IDR57,500.

The Piccata Linguini is kinda spicy but pretty nice. The dory fish on its top is covered with eggs. Maybe it’s quite bland, because my friend added some salt to it. The Mushroom Linguini is creamy with extra little cheese and quite a match with my favorite.

Yay! My order’s here, Bakerzin’s specialty: Deluxe Beef Burger – IDR55,000.

Lemonz’ pick. A pasta dish special for Christmas named Turkey Penne – IDR57,500.

The Deluxe Beef Burger is served with mashed potato that tastes like a bruschetta. The chewy and savoury beef is stacked with melting cheese, fresh veggies and sour pickles. Wheee~! The Turkey Penne is quite tasty, but why the turkey slices taste like ham?

They totally ruined my lunch time. (-_-” )

We should smell more delicious food inside a restaurant, not the cigarette’s smokes.

Finally, holy sweet crunchy macarons for dessert and for the first time!
It costs IDR8,500 each. We have the pistachio, blueberry, strawberry and rose flavors.

Overall I quite enjoy the food in Bakerzin. The restaurant’s ambience is nice, it will be better if the smoking area is separated far far away from the non-smoking area and sealed with a glass wall! This whole lunch experience for 4 people slapped us with a bill for around IDR500,000. Quite pricey~!

Yeah, had a small dinner meet-up with my good friends after office hours.

When three of us are gathering, the dinner choice must be junk food.

Since there is this new pasta with oriental roasted chicken that has been promoted at Pizza Hut, so we decided to give it a try.

We also ordered a delicious cheesy cannelloni.

The new pasta also comes with a bonus of free breadsticks with Bolognese sauce. Yay! Love the bread sticks when they’re served hot.

Orzo is the smallest pasta ever exists, says the brochure if I’m not mistaken. I thought it was rice, but it’s tasted like pasta. The roasted chicken is the most delicious part of this menu.

What a nice dinner with friends. Delicious food + nice chit-chat = For The Win! :)

Previously I also had some tea time with them. Bought some green tea, cheese and chocolate muffins.

Enjoy it with a glass of grass jelly milk tea.

My lunch selection is this tuna baked rice with cheese. Hmmmm…

and a plate of savory oily grilled baby potatoes, shared with the table-mates. Hoho!
